Yisang-il, Mayor of Yongin, Departs to Attend CES 2025

Visit to Yongin Hall... Samsung, SK, and others also scheduled to attend
Twinning and friendship agreements signed with local cities

Lee Sang-il, mayor of Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 6th that he departed for the United States to attend 'CES 2025,' the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, and to discuss exchange and cooperation with major local cities.

During the event, Mayor Lee plans to visit the 'Yongin Special City Group Pavilion' operated by the city to encourage the officials. A total of 11 companies are participating in the Yongin Special City Group Pavilion at CES 2025. At the venue, five companies?CPsix, Digital Log Technologies, Global High-Tech Electronics, Noeul, and Wis Medical?will showcase their technologies and products.


Mayor Lee will also tour major booths of companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and LG Electronics, as well as key institutions and national pavilions including Seoul National University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), KOTRA Integrated Korea Pavilion, and the Israel Pavilion.


Following the exhibition, Mayor Lee will visit Williamson County in Texas and Fairfax County in Virginia to sign partnership agreements and discuss intercity cooperation plans before returning on the 15th.


Mayor Lee stated, "At CES 2025, where companies possessing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors gather, I will grasp the global trends in cutting-edge technology and introduce Yongin, which is emerging as a global semiconductor hub city, to encourage more companies to invest in Yongin."
