Dobong-gu, What Changes in Dobong-gu's Systems in 2025?

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has posted the booklet "2025 Dobong-gu Changing Systems" on the district website, which clearly summarizes the systems and policies changing from 2025.

This booklet includes a total of 25 projects across six fields changing this year: ▲Autonomy ▲Welfare & Care ▲Jobs ▲Culture ▲Safety & Environment ▲Health.

Key contents by field are as follows. First, in the 'Autonomy' field, the mobile resident ID card has been newly implemented since February this year. Now, residents no longer need to carry a physical resident ID card and can store and use it on their personal mobile phones.

In the 'Welfare & Care' field, the Dobong-type senior job project will be fully launched. This project provides social and economic activity opportunities to seniors aged 60 and over and pays compensation accordingly. Seniors are assigned to clean areas vulnerable to illegal dumping and to maintain indoor and outdoor environments of senior centers.

The support project for learning assistants for children with disabilities is also newly implemented. Learning assistants will be assigned to elementary schools with special classes within Dobong-gu and help children with disabilities with meals and preparation of learning materials.

Additionally, the national veterans’ honor allowance will increase from the existing 50,000 won to 70,000 won, and meal support for children at risk of food insecurity will be raised from 9,000 won to 9,500 won.

In the 'Jobs' field, a notable change is the eligibility for the Youth District Administration Experience Group. Previously, only university students residing in Dobong-gu could participate, but from this year, any youth aged 19 to 45 living in Dobong-gu can join.

In the 'Culture' field, a new barefoot walking program reflecting recent health trends, "Walking Step by Step (足足) Healthy Stretch Barefoot Walking Program," will be introduced. This program is scheduled to be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from March to November along the Jungnangcheon Stream and other locations.

Policies in the 'Safety' field have been further expanded. The scope of compensation under the Citizen Safety Insurance has increased from fixed compensation for specific accidents to actual expense compensation for general injury accidents, thereby expanding both coverage and beneficiaries.

In the 'Environment' field, the district will open the Dobong Green Purchasing Support Center (17 Dobong-ro 156-gil, Basement 1) in April, becoming the first autonomous district in Seoul to do so. The center will provide information to help residents make reasonable choices and purchases of green products.

Finally, in the 'Health' field, policies have been further detailed and the range of support targets expanded. The target for shingles vaccination for seniors has been expanded from vulnerable groups aged 65 and over to all seniors aged 65 and over. The number of assisted procedures for infertile couples has increased from 25 times per infertile couple to 25 times per childbirth.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "We hope residents check the increasingly diverse policies and systems of Dobong-gu this year and receive help," adding, "The district will continue to improve and develop related policies and systems for changes and growth that residents can feel in their daily lives."
