5-Year-Old Boy Drowns in 1.1m Deep Wading Pool at Cheongdo Hot Springs

A 5-year-old child drowned and died in a Bade Pool at a hot spring in Cheongdo, Gyeongbuk.

At around 7:15 PM on the 5th, another guest found a 5-year-old boy floating in a Bade Pool with a water depth of 1.1 meters at a hot spring in Cheongdo-gun.

The child was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics but was ultimately declared dead. A 'Bade Pool' is a facility where full-body massages can be performed using bubbles in warm water.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses and the parents.
