Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, has taken extraordinary measures to combat fake news.
On the 6th, a video titled '[The Born News] No Fake News, Only Real News' was uploaded to Baek Jong-won's YouTube channel. In the video, Baek said, "We are starting The Born News content to stop strange rumors about our company." He continued, "I have been in business for 30 years, and now I am ready. I have obtained a professional license. I am ready to run." He explained, "When the Korean boom happens abroad like now, we must not miss this opportunity. The number of stores will probably increase rapidly. I have many long-term plans in mind."

He added, "I sincerely ask that you do not analyze our company based on imagination. I have seen too much. There have been many hurtful fake news and rumors that made no sense." He expressed concern, saying, "It's okay if people criticize me, but I worry about strange rumors about the company. It could harm our shareholders." He further explained, "(The Born's information) is most accurate when heard directly from us. This is The Born News. News means updates, right? Through this content, we will reveal as much as possible about The Born Korea's new businesses and new products."
To this end, Baek Jong-won also mentioned that he recruited Jo Jung-hyun, a former KBS announcer. Responding to Baek, announcer Jo asked, "Since I will be the speaker, am I becoming the face of The Born now?" Baek laughed and said, "That might be a bit risky." Meanwhile, The Born Korea is a food service franchise company founded by Baek Jong-won in January 1994. The Born Korea was listed on the KOSPI on November 6 last year. The founder Baek Jong-won is the largest shareholder and CEO, overseeing the management of The Born Korea, and with this stock market listing, he has joined the ranks of billionaires with assets worth around 500 billion KRW.
