Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 6th that it is recruiting the '2025 Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team' until the 17th.
The Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team operates to prevent damage to crops, forest products, and marine products caused by nuisance wildlife such as wild boars, water deer, and magpies, and to prevent the outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF).
The main duties include △ capturing nuisance wildlife when damage to crops occurs △ intensive capture of wild boars and disposal of carcasses to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever △ monitoring illegal hunting and trafficking of wildlife.
Hunters who wish to participate can apply by submitting an application form and required documents to the Ulju-gun Environmental Climate Division or the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center with a recommendation from the head of their residential Eup/Myeon or a hunting-related institution.
The final selected candidates will serve as members of the Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team for one year.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, “The role of the Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team members is important for preventing crop damage and the outbreak and spread of African Swine Fever,” and added, “We ask for many applications and interest from hunters.”
