Applications are open from the 6th to the 10th of this month for youth residing or attending school in the area, and can be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Yongsan-gu Education Comprehensive Portal. After applying, applicants must submit the application form and supporting documents via email to the district office staff.
The Yongsan Children's Garden community sports classes, which received great response last year, offer exercises and skills that help improve basic physical fitness. Additionally, they provide opportunities for youth to develop teamwork and leadership, promoting physical activity and emotional growth. All programs are offered free of charge to support the healthy development of children.
This program will be held from next month through December at the soccer and tennis courts within the Yongsan Children's Garden Sports Field. The soccer class runs from Tuesday to Friday every week, and the tennis class takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:30 PM for two hours.
Starting this March, soccer and tennis classes for young children will also be operated for local daycare centers. The toddler tennis class will provide tailored education using lighter balls and rackets compared to regular tennis. For more details, please refer to the Yongsan-gu Office website or contact the Tourism and Sports Department’s Community Sports Team.
Mayor Park Hee-young stated, “We expect this to greatly help secure insufficient sports spaces in the district and create an environment where children can freely play and enjoy community sports.” He added, “We will continue to support various sports programs so that our children can grow up healthy and happy.”
