On the 3rd (local time), the New York Post and the UK Daily Mail reported that Johnson shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account the health habits he and his son follow daily, under the title "How to create a healthy and diligent family culture." First, Johnson stated that he and his son wake up at 5 a.m., have their last meal of the day around noon, and go to bed at 8:30 p.m. He also shared a video of them exercising together. Some overseas netizens who saw the video responded, "It's good that his son wants to follow Johnson, but he needs more freedom," "If he lives like this, Talmaji won't be able to spend time with friends," and "Talmaji's aging rate, which is already being controlled, will be like that of a fetus."
Among the longevity habits Johnson shared is exercise. He performs strength training, aerobic exercise, and activities to improve flexibility and balance for one hour. Additionally, Johnson cited a strict diet as part of his longevity routine. He generally consumes 2,250 kcal per day. As a vegetarian, he reportedly consumes 130g of protein, 206g of carbohydrates, and 101g of fat daily. In December last year, he also posted a video of his breakfast, which consisted of various vegetables topped with plenty of kimchi and drizzled with olive oil.
Recently, Johnson also shared methods to improve sleep quality on his website. He advised having the last meal of the day at least two hours before going to bed. He explained, "By the time I go to bed at 8:30 p.m., major digestion is complete, and my resting heart rate is 47?49 bpm. If I eat late, my resting heart rate rises to 55?58 bpm because my body still has to digest, which reduces sleep quality by about 30%." He suggested that while it is not necessary to be as strict as he is, people should try having their last meal 4?6 hours before bedtime and observe if their sleep quality improves.
To further enhance sleep quality, he recommended engaging in relaxation activities for 30?60 minutes every evening, such as reading, bathing, meditation, deep breathing, or listening to calming music. He also emphasized avoiding caffeine and alcohol at least 10 hours before going to bed.
Johnson is conducting a 'rejuvenation experiment' aiming to reset his biological age to 18 years old. He is well known for spending about $2 million (approximately 2.9 billion KRW) annually on this rejuvenation project. In 2023, he conducted an experiment involving blood exchange among three generations: himself, his son, and his father. They drew 1 liter of blood from his son, separated the plasma, and injected it into himself. Then, they drew his blood, separated the plasma, and injected it into his father, who is in his 70s.
On the 1st, Netflix released a documentary titled Brian Johnson: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever, which covers Johnson's journey of risking his body and fortune to pursue the goal of 'life extension.'
