Chairman Kwon stated at the Emergency Response Committee and Senior Lawmakers Joint Meeting held at the National Assembly on the same day, "This impeachment motion was a fraudulent impeachment hastily passed, and it has been acknowledged that the public was incited with falsehoods." He added, "The exclusion of the treason charge from the impeachment motion signifies a fundamental change in the impeachment motion, and it is absolutely not a matter to be handled through secret negotiations by some lawmakers and lawyers representing the presidential impeachment prosecution team." He pointed out, "It is a highly reasonable action to ask the National Assembly for its opinion again." Furthermore, he urged, "The Constitutional Court should immediately suspend the trial on the impeachment motion excluding the treason charge and demand a new motion with procedural legitimacy secured."

Chairman Kwon criticized the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency's attempt to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "Although the president is currently virtually under house arrest, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) is unjustly and excessively trying to execute the warrant and even detain him, which is solely intended to disgrace the president and is a show for appearances."

Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong argued, "Following yesterday's violent protest by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (Minnocho), concerns about clashes near the presidential residence have increased, so the CIO must abandon the execution of the arrest warrant for the safety of the public." Floor Leader Kwon emphasized, "An investigative agency without investigative authority shaking a controversial arrest warrant and attempting to arrest a sitting president is inviting national chaos on its own. If another forced execution attempt is repeated, social unrest will inevitably intensify." Regarding the court's dismissal of President Yoon's side's objection to prohibit the execution of the arrest and search warrants, he criticized, "It is an extralegal judicial dictatorship to order compliance with a judge's arbitrary decision made without any grounds or reasons."
