The integrated elderly care program implemented by Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do is providing practical assistance to target households and has been receiving positive evaluations from the local community, according to recent findings.


According to the county on the 4th, a satisfaction survey conducted over two months from November to December last year showed that users, caregivers, and local residents all responded positively to the effectiveness of the service.


This survey was conducted to assess the current status and satisfaction level of the integrated elderly care service and to use the results as basic data for future service improvements. The survey targeted 450 individuals, including 180 service users, 150 caregivers, and 120 local residents.


The results showed that 87.2% of service users expressed satisfaction, with notable improvements in both physical and mental health. Among respondents, 71.7% reported improved mental health, and 60.5% reported improved physical health. Health and medical support, housing environment improvements, and emotional support were particularly well received.


Caregivers also reported high satisfaction. 89.0% of respondents said the service reduced their caregiving burden, alleviating not only economic but also physical and mental stress. In addition, 82.0% of caregivers experienced smooth communication during service delivery, demonstrating the professionalism and systematic approach of the service.


Among local residents, 36% were unaware of the service, and 44% found it difficult to access, highlighting the need to strengthen publicity and accessibility as key tasks.


The results of this survey are expected to serve as important foundational data for Damyang-gun in establishing and implementing future local welfare policies.


County Governor Lee Byeongno stated, "Through this survey, we have confirmed that the integrated elderly care program greatly contributes to improving the quality of life for residents," and emphasized, "Based on these results, we will strive to enhance service quality and delivery systems so that more residents can benefit."
