Prosecutors' Office Demands Acting Chief Choi to Order Security Office to Comply with Warrant Execution

The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) stated on the 3rd that regarding the failure to execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, it "plans to strongly demand Acting President Choi Sang-mok, the supervisor of the Presidential Security Service, to order the Security Service to comply with the execution of the arrest warrant."

The PCC said to the press corps in the afternoon, "Considering the current situation on site, as long as the security personnel continue their protection, the execution of the warrant is practically impossible."

On that day, the PCC attempted to execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon, who is known to be staying at the Hannam-dong residence in Yongsan-gu, from around 8 a.m., but after a standoff with the Security Service and others, they withdrew at around 1:30 p.m., five and a half hours later.
