At around 3:28 PM on the 3rd, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 occurred near Sinwon-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the epicenter of the earthquake was located about 14 km south of Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam, with a focal depth estimated at approximately 8 km.
A total of 9 felt reports were received within the province: 4 in Geochang, 2 in Hapcheon, 2 in Hamyang, and 1 in Sancheong, but no damage reports due to the earthquake were filed.
The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "There may be some damage in areas near the earthquake's occurrence, so please exercise caution for your safety."
