Kim Dong-yeon: "Security Office, Are You Soldiers of a Rebel Leader... Must Be Disbanded as Its Basis for Existence Has Disappeared"

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon criticized the Presidential Security Service, asking, "Are you soldiers of a rebel leader?" and urged, "Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Choi Sang-mok should immediately order the Security Service to cooperate with the execution of the warrant."

On the 3rd, Governor Kim posted on his social media, stating, "The Security Service, which obstructed the lawful execution of the arrest warrant by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), has lost its qualification as a state agency," and argued, "Since its basis for existence has disappeared, it should be disbanded."

He continued, "The head of the Security Service and the accomplices are no different from a gangster group following a rebel leader," emphasizing, "They should be arrested for obstruction of special official duties and severely punished."

In particular, he added, "Each security officer must obey the lawful orders of the state, not the illegal orders of the rebel leader."

Furthermore, he pressured, "The world is watching. If the arrest of the rebel leader fails after the rebellion itself, the nation's dignity will fall once again. Doubts about the resilience of democracy and economic uncertainties will also increase," urging, "Acting President Choi Sang-mok must immediately order the Security Service to cooperate with the execution of the warrant."
