Bitnine, a company listed on KOSDAQ, announced on the 3rd that at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the same day, the proposal to change the company name to ‘SKAI Worldwide’ was approved.
The new name reflects Bitnine’s future vision aimed at the global market based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology capabilities. Additionally, the company added ‘AI advertising production’ to its business objectives, clearly expressing its commitment to the AI-based content production business. Through this, Bitnine plans to secure new growth engines in the AI advertising and content production market by combining data solution technology with generative AI technology.
At the same extraordinary general meeting, Shin Jae-hyuk, CEO of Directors Company, Lee Jae-cheol, CEO of Directors Tech, and CFO Jegal Wan, a financial and investment expert from Directors Company, were appointed as inside directors. As outside directors, AI technology expert Professor Kwak No-jun from Seoul National University and legal expert lawyer Choi Jin-hyuk were appointed as auditor, further strengthening the company’s governance and expertise.
Bitnine plans to actively promote new businesses including AI advertising production based on the decisions made at this extraordinary general meeting. CEO Shin Jae-hyuk said, “The name change and addition of business objectives are important milestones for the transition to a global tech company centered on AI technology,” adding, “We will implement sustainable growth strategies based on new leadership and expertise.”
Meanwhile, Bitnine plans to continue its strategy to strengthen global leadership by proposing the appointment of Morgan Mao, co-founder of Directors Tech and global CEO, as an inside director at the extraordinary general meeting scheduled for the 5th of next month.
