Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, emphasized 'field-centered' administration to welcome the new year and conducted on-site visits to major project sites to realize this goal.
On the first day of work this year, January 2nd, County Governor Lee Nam-cheol visited key local project sites, personally inspecting the sites with officials from the responsible departments and listening to progress updates and difficulties.
The governor urged thorough project management and supervision, as well as swift budget execution through prompt project advancement, to ensure smooth progress of county administrative issues and major projects.
The visit targeted a total of seven locations, focusing on projects nearing completion: the 'Culture and Arts Creation Center,' 'Deokgok and Unsu Agricultural Machinery Rental Branch,' 'Senior Welfare Center,' 'Ssangnim Win-Win Exchange Center,' 'Dasan Health Family Center,' 'Dasan-myeon Urban Regeneration Project,' and 'Pyeongniri Public Parking Tower.' The visits aimed to maximize the outcomes of projects directly linked to residents' lives and enhance citizen satisfaction.
A Goryeong-gun official stated, "Although this is a period of continued internal and external instability, the county promoted on-site visits with the intention of vigorously moving forward in 2025 by using the voices of residents from the field of livelihood as driving force. Goryeong-gun will carry out dynamic administration by diving into the field to steadily advance county governance and get closer to becoming a 'Young Goryeong! Strong Goryeong!'"
