The Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service held the inauguration ceremony for the 15th Director, Jo Junhee, in the regional headquarters conference room on the 2nd.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Director Jo expressed his deep condolences and sympathy to the victims and bereaved families of the Muan International Airport aircraft accident.
In his inaugural speech, the director stated, “For a happy people, a healthy Republic of Korea, and a reliable National Health Insurance, I hope we uphold the ‘basics and principles’ in our work, communicate with each other, and show consideration.” He added, “In 2025, as we prepare for the future, it is necessary to unite the entire organization’s capabilities to successfully carry out key tasks such as strengthening employee expertise, innovating the NHIS digital transformation, wise medical use for local residents’ healthy lives, and integrated care support projects.”
He continued, “To establish a sustainable health security system, we will thoroughly manage insurance finances, maintain constant communication with employees, and do our utmost to become a trusted organization by the public.”
Director Jo Junhee has earned the trust of employees through extensive field experience, having served in key positions such as Director of the Gwangmyeong Branch, Head of the Customer Support Office at the NHIS headquarters, and Head of the Qualification Assessment Office. He is especially recognized for successfully establishing the post-settlement system for income-based insurance premiums, enhancing fairness and equity in premium assessments.
