Starting This Year, Traditional Korean Medicine Consultations Available Twice Weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) started a new Korean medicine treatment service at the Wonhyo-ro Health Branch Office from the 2nd. With this, residents in Yongsan can now receive Korean medicine treatment services at two locations: the Health Center and the Wonhyo-ro Health Branch Office.

On this day, Mayor Park Hee-young visited the Wonhyo-ro Health Branch Office as her first official duty of 2025, introduced the newly opened Korean medicine treatment room, and exchanged New Year's greetings with the residents.
The Korean medicine treatment room at this branch office reorganized the operation method previously only provided at the Yongsan-gu Health Center to improve accessibility for residents in the western area, including Cheongpa-dong, Wonhyo-ro 1·2-dong, Hyochang-dong, and Yongmun-dong.
Korean medicine treatment in Yongsan-gu is available on designated days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Yongsan-gu Health Center, and Tuesday and Thursday at the Wonhyo-ro Health Branch Office. Services include Korean medicine consultations, acupuncture treatment, and prescription of herbal medicine (available only at the Health Center). The operating hours for Korean medicine treatment are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (with a lunch break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.), and treatments are provided by appointment only.
The consultation fee is 1,100 KRW, making it affordable. However, residents of Yongsan aged 65 or older, recipients of Medical Aid Types 1 and 2, and national merit recipients are exempt from the consultation fee.
Mayor Park Hee-young stated, “We will continue to ensure that no area is left out of public medical services and will carefully manage support throughout the district.”
