On the morning of the 3rd, people believed to be employees of the Corruption Investigation Office arrived in front of the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, waiting at the main gate to enter the residence.
The prosecutors and investigators, who were confronting the Presidential Security Service blocking the main gate of the residence with a minibus, entered through the main gate around 8:04 a.m. after discussions with the security personnel.
A representative from the investigation division officially stated, "The execution of the arrest warrant against President Yoon Seok-yeol has begun."
However, the prosecutors and investigators have since been unable to enter the residence building and remain in a standoff with the security staff.
