Guro-gu Holds 2025 Opening Ceremony to Pledge a Hopeful New Year

On the 2nd, Guro-gu held the '2025 Guro-gu Opening Ceremony' at the Guro Art Valley Arts Theater Grand Auditorium, marking the beginning of the new year of Eulsa (乙巳 year).

The district organized the opening ceremony to share the direction of district administration with all employees, foster a sense of belonging, and pledge a hopeful new year.

About 500 employees attended the ceremony, including all district office staff except essential civil service personnel, as well as employees from affiliated organizations such as the Guro Facilities Management Corporation, Guro Cultural Foundation, and Hope Welfare Foundation.

The attendees watched the '2024 Guro Story' video highlighting Guro-gu's achievements over the past year, reflecting on the previous year and sharing efforts and accomplishments in a meaningful time together.

Additionally, at the ceremony, an award presentation was held for the recipients of the 'Workers Who Shined Guro' award for the 4th quarter of 2024.

The awardees were recognized for their outstanding achievements in various fields such as resident welfare, administrative services, and community contribution, enhancing the honor of Guro-gu.

Um Eui-sik, Acting Mayor of Guro-gu, stated, “The efforts of all employees over the past year have enabled Guro-gu to take a step forward through various achievements. This year as well, I hope that based on integrity and fairness, with the attitude of a kind public official, you will solidify the trust of the residents and achieve the development of Guro-gu.”
