Gwangju Urban Corporation held a New Year's kick-off ceremony on the morning of the 2nd, announcing a new mission of "Creating Sustainable Urban Spaces that Enhance Future Value" to mark the Year of Eulsa, and officially began its journey toward realizing its 2030 future vision.
On this day, Kim Seungnam, President of Gwangju Urban Corporation, presented four core values as management principles for achieving this year's management goals and the 2030 future vision in his New Year's address outlining the main business directions and plans: ▲Inspiring Citizens ▲Communication and Cooperation ▲Innovative Growth ▲Transparency and Fairness.
The corporation plans to build a "Gwangju where people want to stay and be together" by providing citizen-centered services, encouraging open communication, fostering creative ideas, and carrying out work based on principles and trust.
Meanwhile, the appointment ceremony for eight new employees was also held during the kick-off event. At the ceremony, the new employees took an oath as they took their first steps as members of the corporation, and afterward, they expressed their determination as employees, demonstrating passion and enthusiasm.
Lee Sunmin, a new employee, stated, "As a member of a public enterprise, I will continuously learn and strive to do work that has a positive impact on the local community."
President Kim Seungnam said, "The year 2025 will be a crucial time for the Urban Corporation to leap forward as a public enterprise creating future cities," and added, "I hope that not only the corporation's goals but also the valuable personal goals of all employees will be achieved in the new year."
