Yu Cheol-hwan, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, stated on the 2nd, "Recently, through cooperation between the government and related agencies, financial and foreign exchange markets have stabilized, but difficulties remain for local businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, and self-employed individuals," adding, "We intend to actively support the recovery of the people's economy."

In his New Year's address, Chairman Yu said, "We must strengthen communication with businesspeople and actively listen to the difficulties faced in management sites to seek solutions together," and "Please carefully examine whether there are excessive regulations or unfair practices that hinder a fair competitive environment, or if policies for new industries are insufficient, and provide suggestions for improvement."
Chairman Yu also stated, "Through on-site mediation meetings and the mobile People's Petition Service, we aim to warmly observe the difficulties of vulnerable groups and socially disadvantaged individuals in the field and resolve the hardships of the people," adding, "Please make efforts to systematically and continuously protect vulnerable groups who are increasingly suffering due to worsening economic conditions and actively improve systems for socially disadvantaged individuals."
Chairman Yu said, "This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Administrative Appeals Act," and added, "We need to explore ways to further strengthen the advantages of the administrative appeals system, which is a quasi-judicial means of protecting rights and interests."
Chairman Yu stated, "Policies such as implementing a one-stop administrative appeals service to enhance government efficiency and establishing an integrated government-wide call center system must be pursued without wavering," and "As the authority of central government ministries is transferred to local regions, we must examine whether there are any deficiencies in regulations or operations to ensure the success of locally led balanced development."
Chairman Yu said, "We aim to strictly respond to corruption according to laws and principles to further increase public trust in the government," adding, "In cases where there is concern about corruption, we hope to strictly identify the actual situation and enhance the speed and reliability of case handling through the improvement of laws and systems related to reported incidents."
