During the Sewol ferry sinking accident in 2014, the city also supported relief supplies to comfort the pain of the victims' families and help stabilize their lives.

The city will cooperate with the Seoul Medical Association, Seoul Pharmaceutical Association, and Seoul Korean Medicine Association to provide a total of about 20,000 medical supplies, including about 16,000 pharmaceuticals and quasi-drugs and about 4,000 Korean medicine products. About 200 emergency relief sets, including blankets, underwear, and disposable items, will also be sent to Muan on the 3rd.

In addition, mobile toilets and rest buses where bereaved families and support personnel can rest comfortably will be supported in the necessary scale in consultation with Jeonnam Province.

Psychological support will also be provided if necessary. The Seoul Metropolitan Psychological Support Center, Mental Health Welfare Center, and private academic societies have secured 84 disaster psychology professional counselors and are ready to deploy one counseling bus. About 1,000 volunteers belonging to the Seoul Disaster Response Volunteer Corps are also on standby. The prepared psychological counseling personnel, bus, and volunteers will be dispatched immediately upon request from Jeonnam Province.

As of 2 p.m. on the 2nd, 21,011 mourners have visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, which was set up on the 31st of last month.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said, "I offer my deepest condolences and pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in the passenger plane accident," adding, "If there are any areas where help is needed to overcome the damage situation, we will continue to do our best to support."
