Lee Wan-seop, the mayor of Seosan in South Chungcheong Province, visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident set up at the South Chungcheong Provincial Office on the 2nd to pay his respects.
On this day, about ten senior officials from Seosan City, including Mayor Lee, also participated in the memorial to honor the victims.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "I am devastated by this extremely tragic and heartbreaking accident," and added, "I pray for the souls of those who lost their lives and offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved families."
