Secured 50 Million Won in Special Grant Tax
Namwon City in North Jeolla Province announced on the 2nd that it has been selected as an "Excellent" local government in the "2024 Local Price Stability Management Evaluation" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This evaluation, conducted for 243 local governments nationwide, comprehensively assessed ▲local public utility fee stability management ▲support for promoting Good Price Stores ▲inflation rate of personal service fees ▲efforts to stabilize local prices, and selected organizations that contributed to local price stabilization.
The city, which secured a special grant tax of 50 million KRW, was selected as an "Excellent" local government again this year following last year. Its proactive, field-oriented price stabilization management?such as eradicating price gouging and running price stabilization campaigns during holidays and local festivals, as well as expanding and strengthening support for Good Price Stores?received high praise.
A city official said, "As the local economy is facing difficulties recently, we will do our best to stabilize prices," and added, "This special grant tax will be actively used for projects that stabilize people's livelihoods."
