After the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster at Jeonnam Muan International Airport, prepayments have been continuing for the bereaved families, and it has been reported that a mistake related to prepayment occurred at a cafe.


On the 31st of last month, a post titled "Muan Airport Prepayment Controversy" was uploaded on an online community. According to the author, a YouTuber made a prepayment of 4 million won at a cafe inside the airport under a subscriber's name, but only 1 million won worth of items were sold before the prepayment ended.


As the controversy grew, the cafe headquarters explained that it was a simple mistake. In an interview with the media, the headquarters stated, "Many people have made prepayments. Due to the 24-hour extended operation for the bereaved families and volunteers, working hours were suddenly extended and shifts were implemented," adding, "In this situation, while checking the prepayment details, incorrect guidance occurred on-site, and we have reviewed the details," and apologized. They continued, "This situation happened in the process of everyone working frantically and joining forces to provide even a little help. To assist with on-site operations, the headquarters is also providing personnel support to prevent such operational issues from occurring."
