Mayor Kim Kyung-il Mourns Victims of Jeju Air Passenger Plane Accident

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City, along with senior officials of grade 4 and above, attended the event, honoring the patriotic martyrs and national heroes who dedicated themselves to the country, and took time to pledge the city's leap and development in the new year.
The event was conducted in a solemn and calm atmosphere for the victims of the aviation accident, proceeding in the order of flower offering and incense burning by the mayor and senior officials of Paju City, followed by a moment of silent tribute to the patriotic martyrs and national heroes.
In his New Year's address, Mayor Kim Kyung-il said, "As we welcome the Year of the Blue Snake, symbolizing wisdom, recovery, and growth, I wish everyone health and hope throughout the year." He added, "Together with about 2,000 public officials of Paju City, I will devote all efforts to protecting citizens' lives and revitalizing the local economy to restore peaceful daily life and create opportunities for growth and leap forward."
Mayor Kim also stated, on the occasion of the national mourning period for the victims of the passenger plane accident, "All public officials of Paju City will mourn together with the 520,000 citizens of Paju and share the pain with the bereaved families."
