In New Year's Address: "Time to Move Forward Unceasingly to Bear Fruit"

On the 2nd, Baek Seonghyeon, Mayor of Nonsan, Chungnam, stated, "Let us make this year a time to bring about new changes in Nonsan, enhance its value, and promise a bright future."

During the New Year's kick-off ceremony, Mayor Baek said, "Over the past two and a half years of the 8th popularly elected administration, we have found the direction and path for Nonsan to move forward," and added, "Now is the time to move forward without interruption to bear the fruit of those efforts."

He continued, "I urge everyone to elevate the value of Nonsan and carry out administration that brings pride as public officials through the harmony of creative thinking and the passion we have maintained so far."

In particular, he emphasized, "The year 2025 will be the dawn of a new change for Nonsan," and added, "Trust my promise that I will take full responsibility, and let us work for the happiness of our citizens and the development of Nonsan to open a new era of change and a bright future."

This year, the city plans to revitalize the local economy centered on the national defense and military supply industries, create quality jobs, and promote dynamic changes in the local community by adding the unique characteristics of the '4+1 Administration.'

In particular, administrative efforts will be focused on preparing for the sale of lots in the National Defense Industrial Complex and the early completion of the National Defense Future Technology Research Center, aiming to establish Nonsan as the "mecca of the national defense and military supply industry."

In addition, the city plans to pay even closer attention to culture, welfare, and health, and provide bolder support for agriculture, livestock, sports, and tourism sectors.

Especially, in line with Nonsan's large-scale projects such as the development of the Tapjeongho Complex Cultural and Leisure Resort and the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo, the city will proactively expand related infrastructure to make this year one of "change."
