Samsung Acti Asset Management Appoints Ha Ji-won as New CEO

Samsung Active Asset Management announced on the 2nd that it held an extraordinary board meeting and appointed Ha Ji-won, former Vice President of Samsung Asset Management, as the new CEO.

CEO Ha holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University and an MBA from UC Berkeley. After serving as head of the Financial Review Team, head of the Strategic Investment Division, and head of the Asset PF Management Team at Samsung Life Insurance, he joined Samsung Asset Management in 2022, where he served as head of the Strategic Investment Division, head of the Asset Management Division, and head of the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Business Division.

A representative of Samsung Active Asset Management said, “CEO Ha is a financial expert who has gained diverse experience in strategic investment, special accounts, asset management, and ETF business through his career at Samsung Life and Samsung Asset Management. We expect him to further solidify Samsung Active Asset Management’s position as a leader in domestic discretionary asset management, drive growth in the global asset management sector, and successfully lead the leap of KoAct Active ETFs.”
