Buyeo County, Chungnam Province, announced on the 2nd that due to sluggish domestic demand and political turmoil increasing internal and external uncertainties, it will provide a 15% incentive for Goodtrae Pay to help revive the local economy. The maximum limit will also be raised from 700,000 won to 1,000,000 won.
The county made this decision to promote local consumption during the Lunar New Year holiday and to provide practical economic support for small business owners and residents.
Despite the uncertainty of this year's government budget support for local currency, the county plans to take the lead in activating local currency and protecting local businesses by independently implementing this incentive increase policy.
County Governor Park Junghyun said, "This policy is an important first step toward reviving the struggling local economy, and we have proactively increased the incentive to show our commitment to revitalizing the regional economy. We hope it will be a great help for local businesses and residents to overcome these difficult times."
