Reviewing Local K-Food Production Using Texas Factory
SPC Group, which operates Paris Baguette, is planning to build a bakery factory in the state of Texas, USA. This blueprint aims to accelerate the 'K-Food global territory expansion' by expanding overseas production capabilities.
SPC Group announced on the 2nd that it has selected the City of Burleson in Johnson County, Texas, as the candidate site for the factory and is in the final stages of coordinating investment plans and subsidies with the local government. The group expects the negotiations to be completed as early as this month.

Texas is located in the central part of the United States, making it a place with excellent logistics accessibility to the entire US, Canada, and Central America. It is also regarded as a business-friendly area due to the local government's incentives for investing companies and favorable employment conditions. The local governments of Johnson County and the City of Burleson will provide approximately $10 million in subsidies to Paris Baguette to attract this factory investment.
SPC Group’s bakery factory in the US is a production facility intended to supply bakery products not only to the US and Canada, where Paris Baguette stores are expanding, but also to the Latin American region planned for future entry. The factory is expected to be SPC Group’s largest overseas production facility, with an investment amount of about $160 million (approximately 236.3 billion KRW) and a land area of about 150,000㎡ (45,000 pyeong). SPC Group currently operates a bakery factory in Tianjin, China (20,800㎡), and is about to complete a halal-certified bakery factory (16,500㎡) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Paris Baguette currently operates over 600 stores in 14 countries overseas, including about 200 stores in the US and Canada. As the North American franchise business has successfully taken root, the pace of store openings is accelerating, and accordingly, the supply volume of products is steadily increasing. Paris Baguette aims to open 1,000 stores in the North American region by 2030. This factory is expected to serve as an overseas production base for SPC Samlip.
An SPC Samlip official said, "We are reviewing ways to utilize the local facility in the US as a hub for market response and localization strategies through group-level cooperation," adding, "We will successfully complete construction to widely promote the excellence of K-Bakery."
