Boryeong City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting participants for its Rural Development Project to promote the dissemination of high-quality agricultural production technologies and increase farm income.
This project provides subsidies totaling 2.947 billion KRW for 49 programs, including: 1.562 billion KRW for 15 manpower training projects, 80 million KRW for 5 rural resource projects, 169 million KRW for 4 return-to-farming support projects, 429 million KRW for 8 livestock technology projects, 1.013 billion KRW for 9 crop environment projects, and 494 million KRW for 8 horticultural and specialty crop projects.
Main initiatives include: establishing a smart precision agriculture model for young farmers, fostering young farmer agricultural work groups, supporting self-made compost resource technology, expanding direct seeding rice cultivation technology, establishing double cropping systems for paddy field alternative crops, and distributing the Strawberry Stable Production Quality PLUS System.
Interested applicants should submit the project application form and plan, agricultural business registration certificate, training completion certificates, eco-friendly certification, and other required documents to the relevant department at the Agricultural Technology Center by the 31st.
The city plans to select the final project participants before March through deliberation by the Agricultural Industry-Academic Cooperation Committee.
