Supporters urged to "Fight harder" by Yoon... Democratic Party calls it "extreme conflict incitement, must be arrested quickly"

The Democratic Party stated that President Yoon Seok-yeol, who has been issued an arrest warrant on charges of treason, should be "arrested immediately" in relation to his message inciting his supporters by saying, "Let's be stronger."

Cho Seung-rae, the chief spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said in an oral statement on the 1st, "Not only treason, but the ringleader of treason who incites extreme clashes among his supporters must be arrested immediately." Cho added, "The treason ringleader Yoon Seok-yeol sent a message to supporters gathered in front of the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul," calling it "extremely inappropriate."

Earlier, President Yoon delivered a letter of thanks bearing his signature to citizens holding an overnight support rally in defiance of the execution of the arrest warrant. The letter stated, "I am watching you all through the real-time live broadcast on YouTube," and "South Korea is currently in danger due to the agitation of sovereignty-infringing forces and anti-state forces both inside and outside the country," adding, "I will fight to the end with you to protect this country." He said, "Let's be stronger," and expressed, "I am truly grateful and thankful."

Regarding this message, Chief Spokesperson Cho said, "Yoon Seok-yeol's message clearly shows that he has not yet escaped delusions and is plotting treason," and "Above all, it is very concerning that he is inciting extreme clashes among his supporters through this message."

He added, "Not satisfied with committing treason, he is inciting his supporters to provoke extreme clashes and chaos," and stated, "Yoon Seok-yeol must be arrested as soon as possible and brought before the judgment of the law. That is the only way to stop Yoon Seok-yeol's delusions and madness."
