Coexistence, Growth, and Hope in 2025: Concrete Welfare Policy Plans
"Coexistence and growth, and a hopeful Gyeongnam will be the direction Gyeongsangnam-do takes in 2025, and I will once again work hard for the happiness of the residents."
Governor Park Wan-su of Gyeongnam made this pledge as he began his official duties on the first day of the new year 2025.

On the 1st, Governor Park, along with the Deputy Governor, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, and heads of departments and bureaus, visited the National 3.15 Democratic Cemetery and the Changwon Memorial Tower in sequence to pay respects and commemorate the spirits of the fallen.
Governor Park left a message in the 3.15 Democratic Cemetery guestbook stating, "In the new year of Eulsa, I will strive to carry on the spirit of 3.15 and create a Gyeongnam of coexistence, growth, and hope."
In the guestbook at the Memorial Tower, he wrote, "In the new year of Eulsa, inheriting the spirit of the patriotic martyrs and national defenders, I will work to make Gyeongnam a region of harmony and coexistence and grow it into the economic capital of Korea."

Afterwards, Governor Park visited the Gyeongsangnam-do Metropolitan Mobility Support Center located in Myeongseo-dong, Uichang-gu, Changwon City, to encourage the staff and inspect the support procedures for customized mobility services for transportation-vulnerable groups.
The Gyeongnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center, operating 24 hours a day, 3 shifts, year-round without holidays, was first established nationwide in 2009.
The center guarantees residents' right to mobility by utilizing special transportation means and serves as an integrated call center for the province to support mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable groups such as the elderly and disabled.

Governor Park expressed his gratitude for the staff's efforts to ensure residents' mobility rights and welfare, saying, "Gyeongnam Province will continue to provide interest and support to offer customized services for transportation-vulnerable groups so that all residents can freely travel anywhere."
In 2025, the Gyeongnam provincial government plans to further specify welfare policies for residents, including the implementation of the Gyeongnam K-Pass, emergency livelihood support system, and Gyeongnam Companion Loan.
Furthermore, it plans to continue efforts to elevate the social value of "coexistence," where all members of the local community care for and coexist with each other, while striving to grow as the "economic capital of the Republic of Korea."
