On the 31st, Lee Jae-jun, the mayor of Suwon, visited the 'Joint Memorial Altar for the Victims of the Aviation Disaster' set up in the main building parking lot of Suwon City Hall to pay his respects and mourn the victims.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun, along with Kim Hyun-soo, the first deputy mayor, Hyun Geun-taek, the second deputy mayor, and heads of departments and bureaus, visited the joint memorial altar that morning.
Suwon City will operate the memorial altar until January 4th next year, which is the national mourning period. The operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Anyone can pay their respects.

On the 31st, Mayor Lee posted on his social media service (SNS), "I will quietly wait until the bereaved families can mourn the deceased without any regrets," and promised, "I will closely communicate with the accident response headquarters to find ways, even if small, to support them."
He added, "I hope that every process, including the investigation of the cause of the accident, media coverage, and funeral support, will be carried out with careful consideration that embraces the deep feelings of the bereaved families."
