Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 31st that it held the "12th Culture and Education Policy Strategy Meeting" in the mayor's office on the 30th to discuss the direction of culture and education policies and interdepartmental collaboration plans.

With 15 attendees including Mayor Kim Dong-geun, the Director of the Culture and Learning Bureau, related department heads, and team leaders, the meeting covered ▲ the promotion plan for "Wellness City, Uijeongbu" ▲ the utilization plan for lifelong learning facilities ▲ and the promotion plan for the construction project of the park golf course above Buyong Tunnel.
This year, the city conducted 12 culture and education policy strategy meetings to promote cultural city projects that citizens can directly experience.
Through the strategy meetings, the city discussed the relocation plan of the Baek Young-su Art Museum included in the redevelopment maintenance area of Howon 2 District, laying the foundation for the establishment of the Uijeongbu Municipal Baek Young-su Art Museum. They also discussed the direction of festival operations to establish Uijeongbu's identity, and derived specific plans for operating youth cultural spaces and improving and creating sports facilities.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, "We will continue to hold regular strategy meetings to promote culture and education policies and accelerate projects to create 'Uijeongbu, a cultural city where people want to stay.'"
