Songpa-gu Selected as an Excellent Local Government for Comprehensive Public Property Survey ... Secures 40 Million KRW Incentive

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it has secured a special grant of 40 million KRW after being selected as an excellent local government for maintenance performance in the "Comprehensive Survey of Public Property" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The "Comprehensive Survey of Public Property," first conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in April, is a project that cross-checks information between the public property ledger of 243 local governments nationwide and three official registries (real estate registry, land ledger, building ledger) to correct errors. It was promoted with the purpose of accurately identifying public property information and managing it efficiently.

The evaluation scope covers the performance up to September, the second submission period out of seven scheduled maintenance performance submissions from April this year to June next year. During this period, the district diligently conducted comparative analysis and follow-up actions by correcting various discrepancies such as ownership, name, land category, and area between the public property ledger and the three official registries, and by discovering and registering omitted properties recorded only on one side.

As a result, the district achieved a maintenance rate of 91% and was selected as an "excellent local government" with high public property management maintenance performance. This achievement was made by resolving errors in 612 out of 673 maintenance targets (land: 208 cases, buildings: 465 cases). The 40 million KRW financial incentive granted to the district will be used as a special grant, serving as a valuable resource to cover unexpected financial demands in the future.

In addition, the district is striving to systematically and efficiently manage public property by imposing and collecting lease fees, conducting surveys on public property status, imposing compensation fees for unauthorized occupation, and selling general properties unsuitable for preservation.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, "We will do our best to finalize the data maintenance and update to complete the comprehensive survey of public property project, which will continue until next year, without any gaps," and added, "We will continue to strengthen the management and utilization of public property to increase the value of residents' assets and expand the district's finances through various efforts."
