Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 30th that it held an emergency meeting to express deep condolences regarding the Muan passenger plane disaster that occurred on the 29th.

To focus on mourning, Gwangju City canceled year-end ceremonies and flew flags at half-mast at the Gwangju City Hall and public institutions within the jurisdiction.
Additionally, all Gwangju City employees wore mourning ribbons to express deep condolences to the victims and their families.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, “I sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased,” and added, “We express deep condolences to the victims and their families and hope that the accident recovery proceeds swiftly.”
