Minimum Annual Interest Rate of 2.95~3.25% by Maturity with Preferential Rate Applied
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, President Kim Kyung-hwan) announced on the 30th that it will freeze the interest rates for the long-term, fixed-rate, installment mortgage loan product ‘Bogeumjari Loan’ in January 2025.
Accordingly, the standard rates for the ‘Akkim e-Bogeumjari Loan’ range from 3.95% per annum (10 years) to 4.25% (50 years). If additional preferential rates (up to 1.0 percentage point) are applied for low-income youth, newlywed households, socially disadvantaged groups (such as persons with disabilities and single-parent families), and victims of jeonse fraud, the lowest rates of 2.95% (10 years) to 3.25% (50 years) per annum will apply.
However, for non-face-to-face (u method) and face-to-face (t method) loans where the loan agreement and mortgage registration are not processed electronically, an additional 0.1 percentage point will be added to the interest rate.
