Starting January 6 Next Year, Yeondu Tour Begins in Dongmun 2-dong
Open Communication, Gathering Residents' Opinions, Sharing Seosan's Future
Lee Wan-seop, the mayor of Seosan City, Chungnam, will tour various towns and districts from January 6 to 17 next year to listen to the voices of the local community.
On the 30th, Seosan City announced that it will hold the "2025 Dialogue with Citizens" from January 6 to 17.
The dialogue sessions will begin in Dongmun 2-dong on the 6th, followed by Bucheon-dong (morning) and Dongmun 1-dong (afternoon) on the 7th, Suseok-dong (morning) and Seoknam-dong (afternoon) on the 8th, Daesan-eup (morning) on the 9th, and Inji-myeon (morning) and Buseok-myeon (afternoon) on the 10th, wrapping up the first week.
The second week will continue with Palbong-myeon (morning) on the 13th, Haemi-myeon (morning) and Gobuk-myeon (afternoon) on the 14th, Seongyeon-myeon (afternoon) on the 15th, Jigok-myeon (morning) and Eumam-myeon (afternoon) on the 16th, and will conclude with Unsan-myeon (morning) on the 17th, marking the end of the two-week program.
The dialogue sessions will start at 10 a.m. in the morning and 2 p.m. in the afternoon, each lasting for two hours.
Mayor Lee plans to lead discussions with residents on various topics, including economy and industry, culture and tourism, construction and transportation, and agriculture and youth.
In particular, he will listen to key issues discussed in each village on-site, consider them together, and actively reflect citizens' voices in city administration.
The city explained that, moving away from the traditional format where citizens simply made suggestions and received answers, this year's sessions will capture the sites of proposals on video, making it easier and clearer for village residents to understand the core issues and build consensus.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "The 2025 Dialogue with Citizens will go beyond a simple conversation and become an opportunity to open the future of Seosan," and added, "I hope for the active participation and interest of all citizens, who are the main protagonists in shaping our future."
