The core of the "Village Care Project" is to provide after-school care services for children by utilizing local children's centers and Together Care Centers to support the healthy growth and development of children.

The city has provided meticulous support to about 1,800 children through 69 local children's centers in Jeonju, and has been recognized for its contribution to filling the gap in after-school care in the community and improving children's rights.

This award was made possible thanks to the collaboration of local children's center staff who provided customized care tailored to the characteristics of low-income children and created an environment where working parents can safely entrust their children.

Kim Jaehwa, Director of Welfare and Environment of the city, said, "We expect this award to serve as an important milestone in improving child welfare in Jeonju," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that children at local children's centers can grow up healthy and happy."
