NHN Enterprise Targets B2C and SME Cloud Markets with 'AppPass'

Significantly Enhanced Marketability... Expansion of the Enterprise Market

NHN Cloud's subsidiary NHN Enterprise announced on the 30th its 2025 strategy utilizing the cloud platform 'AppPaaS'.


AppPaaS is a cloud platform launched as a beta service in April with the motto of "providing the easiest cloud environment in the world" to customers using cloud infrastructure. It offers all-in-one functions from build and deployment to monitoring to operate cloud-native based services. Even without cloud infrastructure management capabilities, procedures necessary for service development environments and infrastructure setup can be completed with just four clicks.

NHN Enterprise aims to strengthen product competitiveness through AppPaaS to actively target the personal developer (B2C) and small and medium business (SMB) cloud markets. The strategy is to provide easier and more convenient cloud construction and operation services to increase personal developer and small to medium-sized enterprise customers and expand the business stage to the enterprise market.


To this end, a 'team management function' that allows managing deployment and operations by team units and granting permissions will be introduced to enhance collaboration efficiency among multiple users. A 'backup and recovery function' to securely manage deployed databases will also be supported.


Additionally, it plans to increase convenience by enabling easy integration of many popular open-source solutions with just a few clicks and allowing users to easily connect their own domains to AppPaaS in addition to the default domain generated during deployment.


Kim Dong-hoon, CEO of NHN Enterprise, said, "Since launching the AppPaaS beta service, our primary goal has been to provide stable services to customers, and we have actively pursued advancement." He added, "In 2025, we will devote ourselves to maximizing the strengths of AppPaaS so that it is recognized as a useful service not only for existing B2C and SMB customers but also for enterprise clients."
