Passed Post-Management Audit for Certification Maintenance
"Recognized for Global-Level Compliance and Anti-Corruption Management Efforts"
Hana Bank announced on the 30th that it has passed the post-management audit for the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) and Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) international standards conducted by the Korea Standards Association (KSA).
ISO 37301 is an international standard guideline for compliance management systems established and implemented by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It certifies that a system is in place to proactively identify and control compliance risks that may arise throughout corporate management. Similarly, ISO 37001 is the international standard requirement and usage guideline for anti-bribery management systems by ISO. Certification of ISO 37001 proves that a company has established and is implementing a management system that meets the international community’s requirements for anti-corruption efforts.
Hana Bank was the first commercial bank to simultaneously obtain ISO 37301 and ISO 37001 certifications in December 2023. By passing the post-management audit this year to maintain the certifications, the bank has once again been officially recognized for continuously operating a global-level internal control system and compliance management system.
A Hana Bank official stated, “Passing the post-audit by the Korea Standards Association is significant as it externally acknowledges Hana Bank’s commitment to practicing compliance management.” He added, “We will continue to develop an internal control system that meets global standards and strive to establish ourselves as a leading financial institution in South Korea based on our customers’ trust.”
Meanwhile, Hana Bank ensures that employees can easily access and utilize laws and internal regulations through its internal legal notification system and internal regulation management system. Additionally, the bank operates various programs to promote an anti-corruption organizational culture, including activating the whistleblowing system, implementing ethics codes, and conducting internal control training.
