Introducing Two 45-Inch UltraGear Monitors
First OLED Monitors to Achieve 5K2K High Resolution
LG Electronics announced on the 30th that it will showcase the world's highest resolution organic light-emitting diode (OLED) gaming monitor at 'CES 2025,' held in Las Vegas, USA, starting January 7 next year.
The new products are two 45-inch UltraGear monitors (model names: 45GX990A and 950A), the first OLED gaming monitors supporting 5K2K resolution (5120X2160), surpassing the existing 4K resolution. They feature a 21:9 aspect ratio suitable for the latest games.
The screen brightness reaches up to 1300 nits (nit is the brightness of one candle), the highest level among OLED monitors.

In particular, the 45GX990A model can bend its flat screen to a 900R curvature (curved to a radius of 900 mm) according to the viewing environment. Users can watch general content on the flat screen and switch to the curved screen for immersive experiences in racing games or first-person shooter games. Recognized for its excellent image quality and bendable functionality, it won three awards including the top prize in the 'CES Innovation Awards' category for products to be exhibited at CES 2025.
The 45GX950A model features a curved display with an 800R curvature. This allows customers to easily check information such as the minimap (a condensed map of the game world) displayed on the edges of the game screen while gaming.
Both products support high refresh rate mode (2560X1080·330Hz) and high resolution mode (5120X2160·165Hz). The high refresh rate mode is advantageous for fast screen transitions in first-person shooter games, while the high resolution mode is suitable for enjoying visually rich games or video content. Users can easily adjust the refresh rate, aspect ratio, and screen size by pressing dedicated buttons at the bottom of the monitor.
Additionally, they support graphics technologies such as NVIDIA's 'G-SYNC Compatible' and AMD's 'FreeSync Premium Pro,' enabling smooth rendering of fast-moving game content. They have also been certified for excellent contrast ratio with VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 certification.
Furthermore, LG Electronics will also unveil the UltraGear monitor (model name: 39GX90SA), which not only delivers core gaming monitor performance but also features webOS, allowing users to enjoy various OTT and cloud games without connecting to a PC.
Lee Yoon-seok, head of LG Electronics' IT Business Division, said, "We will provide immersive gaming experiences to gamers worldwide by leading with new UltraGear products, including the OLED gaming monitor with the world's highest resolution."
