Seoul's First IKEA Store, Musinsa Standard, Starbucks, Olive Young, etc.
Hybrid Office Facilities from the 5th Floor Above Ground
In April next year, 'Gangdong IPARK The River,' equipped with commercial, cultural, and office facilities, will open in Godeok Biz Valley, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
Constructed by HDC Hyundai Development Company, this complex completed 100% pre-sale in 2021 under the name 'Godeok IPARK Dearban' and has changed its brand name to 'Gangdong IPARK The River (IPARK THE RIVER)' ahead of its opening next year.
Gangdong IPARK The River is developed with a total floor area of approximately 300,000㎡, spanning from 6 basement levels to 21 floors above ground. It offers shopping, dining, and entertainment for all age groups, from the MZ generation to family visitors, as well as office facilities for specialized companies in creator, ICT, and entertainment sectors.
For commercial facilities, IKEA is opening its first store in Seoul here, along with Emart, Musinsa Standard, Starbucks, Olive Young, Modern House, Champion1250, Arc N Book, and others. Various food and beverage outlets such as CGV and Korean beef dining Min-gyu, as well as the fitness center CHOICEBY VANTT, will also be established.
The hybrid office facilities, developed from the 5th floor upwards, consist of a total of 591 units with exclusive areas ranging from 37 to 296㎡. Covering about 49,000㎡ (14,800 pyeong), they feature differentiated design and advanced infrastructure. All office spaces include restrooms and shower facilities, and with diagonal window arrangements and individual terraces, most offices offer views of the Han River. Cutting-edge office systems such as IoT-based smart mirrors are also provided.
In Godeok Biz Valley, 18 companies including AJU Design Group have completed moving into their headquarters. The relocation of 9 companies, including JYP Entertainment and Cuckoo Electronics, is also planned, raising expectations for the area to grow into a leading business hub in eastern Seoul.
Transportation accessibility is excellent. It is adjacent to Godeok Station and Sangil-dong Station on Subway Line 5, and easily accessible from anywhere in the Seoul metropolitan area via Olympic-daero, Gangbyeonbuk-ro, and the Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Expressway. Once the extension of Line 9 is completed in 2028, Samteo Park Station (tentative name) will allow easy travel across Seoul, including Gangnam and Yeouido.
A representative of the Gangdong IPARK The River developer emphasized, "Gangdong IPARK The River will become a trendy destination offering a special and differentiated environment not only for shopping, culture, and sports but also for corporate clients."
