430 Community Leaders from 19 Eup, Myeon, and Dong Deliver 'Warm Hearts'
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 26th that the Yeongju City Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders donated 13 million KRW to the "Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign" at a donation ceremony held at Korea Polytechnic University Yeongju Campus.
At the donation ceremony, 25 executives of the Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders attended. This donation was collected through the voluntary participation of 430 village and neighborhood leaders from 19 towns, townships, and neighborhoods, who contributed bit by bit with sincerity.
The donated funds will be used through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea to support vulnerable groups in Yeongju City who are going through difficult times due to the winter cold wave and economic hardships.
Kwon Jang-hyun, president of the Yeongju City Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders, said, "This donation is a valuable result of sharing gathered by 430 village and neighborhood leaders who hope to help neighbors in need, even if just a little," and added, "We will continue to practice the value of sharing as members of the local community."
Mayor Park Nam-seo expressed, "I deeply appreciate the warm hearts shown by the Yeongju City Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders," and said, "We will do our best to ensure that the donated funds are used meaningfully for marginalized neighbors."
The Yeongju City Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders serves as a model for the local community by dedicating themselves to serving residents at the forefront of city administration and actively participating in practicing neighborly love.
