Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 27th that it has provided incentives to 181 military personnel discount establishments.
Military personnel discount establishments refer to businesses that offer price discounts to military personnel, and designated establishments receive differentiated incentives based on their discount performance.
From November 20 to December 11, Paju City conducted inspections (monitoring) of establishments designated as military personnel discount establishments. Excluding closed or non-compliant businesses, 181 places (144 general and casual restaurants, 16 lodging businesses, 7 bathhouses, and 14 beauty salons) were confirmed to have provided discounted services to military personnel.
Paju City provided differentiated incentives based on the discount performance recorded via QR codes by the military personnel discount establishments. Considering the opinions of business owners, the incentive item was selected as 50ℓ㎾ volume-based waste bags.
On the 20th, four establishments with outstanding activity performance and active contributions to local economic development and military welfare improvement were selected and awarded commendations. The establishments are ▲ Sonigaseotdukkyeong Samgyeopsal (814 Saimdang-ro, Beobwon-eup) ▲ G&G Spa Co., Ltd. (143 Ganamu-ro) ▲ Dudukhan Hanpan (646 Bogwang-ro, Gwangtan-myeon) ▲ Suksung Sadon Paju Beobwon-ri Main Branch (888-2 Suliho-ro, Beobwon-eup).
Military personnel discount establishments within Paju City can be found on the Paju City Hall website under ‘Information by Category’ → ‘Health/Hygiene’ → ‘Military Personnel Discount’ bulletin board.
Jang Yeon-hee, Director of the Hygiene Division, said, “The military personnel discount establishment project helps reduce the economic burden on military personnel and contributes to revitalizing consumption within the region. We will listen to the difficulties of business owners and prepare support measures so that many establishments in the area can participate.”
