"People Power Party, Declares Itself the Guard of the Chief of the Rebellion"
"Will Fully Mobilize Capabilities to Fulfill Historical Responsibility"
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, labeled Acting President and Prime Minister Han Deok-su's decision to withhold the appointment of a Constitutional Court justice as a 're-rebellion' and declared that the party would mobilize all its capabilities to suppress the insurrection.

On the 27th, Lee issued a statement at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, saying, "The December 3rd insurrection that plunged the Republic of Korea into a nightmare is not over yet," and added, "The insurrection forces have chosen re-rebellion instead of reflection and apology."
Regarding Acting President Han, Lee said, "He has transformed into an acting insurrectionist," and criticized, "The People Power Party, which produced the insurrection ringleader, has abandoned its responsibility to uphold the constitution and has appointed itself as the personal guard of the insurrection ringleader." He continued, "They do not hesitate to provoke for the reinstatement of the insurrection ringleader," emphasizing, "They delayed the formation of constitutional institutions necessary for state maintenance, destroyed constitutional order, and continued other acts of national disorder."
Lee claimed that Acting President Han's decision shook the economy, including a sharp rise in the exchange rate. He said, "The exchange rate fluctuated wildly due to the declaration of martial law and soared following the rejection of impeachment, President Yoon Seok-yeol's additional statement, and Han Deok-su's refusal to appoint a Constitutional Court justice."
He also stated that the party would focus its efforts on the impeachment of President Yoon and Acting President Han. Lee said, "With the infinite responsibility felt on the night of December 3rd, when we risked arrest, detention, and disappearance to climb over the National Assembly wall, we will suppress any rebellion and regression," and added, "Until the moment the insurrection is completely suppressed, we will mobilize all our capabilities to fulfill our historic responsibility."
