L&K Biomed Sponsors 'Future Youth Science Audition'

Spinal implant company L&K Biomed announced on the 27th that it sponsored the 2nd 'Future Youth Science Audition' held at the Hoam Faculty House of Seoul National University.

The Science Audition was hosted and organized by the Science Hall, a corporation under the Ministry of Science and ICT. It has been held annually since last year to early discover young scientists and technologists who will be responsible for the future of the Republic of Korea and to provide opportunities for youth to pursue their dreams in science. Attendees included Kang Guk-jin, Chairman of L&K Biomed; Lee Chang-seop, Chairman of Vixco ENC; Park Jin-sik, Chairman of Hye-won Medical Foundation Sejong Hospital; and actress Yoon So-hee, ambassador of the Science Hall.

The Minister of Science and ICT Award was given to Song Ye-seo, a 4th grader at Boryeom Elementary School in Gimpo, who presented on the topic "Optimal Environment for Shellfish Purification." The Grand Prize winners were Eom Tae-i, who presented "Flying Over the Future City," and Jo In-gyu, who presented "Research on Mind Lighting."

The Minister of Science and ICT Award winner receives a prize of 3 million KRW. All 11 finalists receive prize money and certificates. They are also given a one-on-one mentoring opportunity with scholars from the Science Hall. Additionally, elementary and middle school students were awarded a one-year subscription to the science magazine "Science Boy" as a prize.
