Secured a Special Grant of 50 Million Won
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) was selected as an excellent local government in the ’2024 Local Price Stability Management Evaluation‘ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The ‘Local Price Stability Management Evaluation’ is an assessment conducted annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeting 243 local governments nationwide to promote regional price stability, which has been implemented since 2022.
The evaluation criteria include ▲quantitative assessments such as public utility rate increases and operation of Good Price Businesses ▲qualitative assessments such as efforts to eradicate overcharging during holidays and vacation seasons, and price information investigation and disclosure, conducting a comprehensive evaluation based on various indicators.
This year, the district operated a ‘Overcharging Report Center’ at the Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival, which attracted 3.03 million visitors, to eradicate overcharging, and took active measures such as unifying food prices within the festival venue with market prices, receiving high praise.
Additionally, the expansion of Good Price Businesses and the realization of price stabilization through customized support for each business were also positively evaluated.
Accordingly, the district received an ‘A’ grade and was selected as an excellent autonomous district within the top 10% by evaluation group (special/metropolitan cities, provinces, autonomous districts, cities/counties), securing a special grant incentive of 50 million KRW.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “It is very meaningful to be recognized for our efforts to reduce the burden on residents and small business owners amid difficult economic conditions,” and added, “We will continue to implement various policies to stabilize and revitalize the local economy.”
