Hwaseong City to Recruit Scholarship Dormitory Residents for Next Year Until the 16th of Next Month

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit residents for the 'Hwaseong Scholarship Dormitory' for the next year from January 2 to 16.

The Hwaseong Scholarship Dormitory is a scholarship dormitory located in Seoul, operated to alleviate the financial burden and provide various conveniences for university students from Hwaseong City, aiming to nurture local talent. The city operates two dormitories: 'Dongjak Naraegwan' in Sangdo-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, and 'Dobong Naraegwan' in Chang-dong, Dobong-gu. The number of residents selected per dormitory is ▲ Dongjak Naraegwan 219 (85 males, 134 females) ▲ Dobong Naraegwan 219 (60 males, 159 females).

The monthly fee for residents, including meals, is 200,000 KRW. Eligibility requires that as of the announcement date of the recruitment, applicants must be enrolled or expected to enroll in a university located in the Seoul metropolitan area, with continuous resident registration in Hwaseong City for at least one year for themselves or their parents/legal guardians. New students can apply with their exam admission ticket, but graduate students are not eligible.

Applications are accepted online only through the Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation website during the application period. Selection criteria include living standards (70 points), academic performance (15 points), commuting distance (5 points), and residence within the city (10 points). The initial successful candidates will be announced on February 12.
