The Only Excellent Institution in Chungnam in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Address Policy Implementation
Proven Excellence in Four Land Administration Fields Hosted by Chungnam Province
Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province has achieved outstanding results in the field of land administration this year, winning five awards as an excellent institution thanks to its multifaceted efforts to enhance citizen convenience.
This year, the city received: △the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Address Policy Implementation, △an ‘Excellent’ rating in the Evaluation of Land Administration Performance, △the ‘Best’ rating in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Real Estate Price Disclosure Operations, △the ‘Best’ award in the Public Officials Drone Challenge, and △the ‘Excellence’ award for exemplary cases in cadastral civil complaint handling.
Among cities and counties in South Chungcheong, Seosan was the only one to be selected as an excellent institution in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Address Policy Implementation, recognized for achievements such as replacing and installing building number plates, earning the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award and a special grant of 40 million KRW.
In particular, the installation of CPTED LED building number plates and solar-powered LED national point number plates to prevent accidents during night-time mudflat activities was highly praised for contributing to a safer nighttime pedestrian environment.
In the Comprehensive Evaluation of Land Administration Performance hosted by South Chungcheong Province, the city was selected as an excellent institution for the fourth consecutive year, proving itself as a leading institution in land administration within the province.
Additionally, in the real estate price disclosure operations hosted by South Chungcheong Province, Seosan was selected as the best institution for the second consecutive year, earning praise for enhancing public trust through fair investigation and calculation of officially announced land prices.
At the 3rd South Chungcheong Province Public Officials Drone Challenge, Ham Seungwoo, team leader, and Jeon Hojin, administrative officer, won the top prize in the precision control category, demonstrating the city’s capabilities in providing administrative services utilizing drones.
The city also operated a ‘Visiting Youth Drone Experience Class’ for local elementary students through its skilled drone operators, offering basic drone theory as well as virtual and real flight practice.
This year, Seosan implemented the ‘Visiting On-site Civil Consultation System’ to actively listen to and reflect on companies’ difficulties regarding land development projects and cadastral confirmation surveys, and was recognized for its excellence by being selected as an outstanding institution in the proactive administration category at the South Chungcheong Province Cadastral Civil Complaint Handling Best Practices Competition.
Furthermore, the city carried out various land administration initiatives, such as operating road name and drone promotion (experience) booths at local festivals, producing customized comprehensive maps for each village, and opening a year-round communication channel for individual official land price inquiries.
Mayor Lee Wanseop stated, “Achieving five awards as an excellent institution in land administration is the result of our efforts to provide high-quality land administration services to citizens,” adding, “We will continue to maintain excellent quality in land administration to protect citizens’ property rights and do our utmost to develop creative policies with a spirit of legal innovation.”
